Week eight

Well it has a been a rainy weekend for many around Australia, and we were not exempt here in the capital! Cue lots of indoor play! We did pick up some gumboots finally late this afternoon, however the light was going while I tried to play with camera settings... and Clark did not love the heavy downpour

Anyway, I love the way he is holding his pencil here. Drawing for Clark has just moved from being mad scribbles, to something more specific. Little circles on a page. A few precise lines. And yes, then often the "round and round" scribbling!

Week seven

Oh those baby blues. And that little mouth. So hard to capture as he is so often on the move. I love how curious my boy is and although it means he seems like he often has ants in his pants, he just wants to know and learn and see.

I took this at the National Arboretum today. We went for brunch and it was such a great space for children. So much room to move and run and look and see.

New phrases this week that I adore:

Look at me!
Watch me!
I'm a giraffe. I'm tall!

and the agreeable "all right".

We also wwitnessed, tonight at bedtime, Clark make his animals talk to each other. "Hello Donaldson's Dairy, Hello Lala" as they made to move their heads at each other.

Funny how the little things make you move past the bedtime getting dressed/brushing teeth struggle!

Ps. I should add that this is auto-focus free... being brave!

Week six

New camera new camera new camera! Terribly exciting. And a bit overwhelming. I spent this week playing with the auto and manual focuses... I have a lot more playing to do!

Clark loves Dinosaur Train, and Daphne is from his favourite episode. Where he learnt about 'Stomping Around'. He found Daphne again this week and this was taken just before he went and squeezed her sideways into a red kombi

Week five

With a hectic weekend full of waiting, we still managed to fit lots of playtime in. It was my darling husband's birthday on Saturday, and my brother in law was in town. The Duplo had a good working out this weekend (not surprisingly) and so I had to share this photo. The hand belongs to my my brother in law, who is holding Clark steady as he was standing on a stool to build the tower higher.

Build it up, build it up, build it higher...

Week four

The next photo was taken with Glenn's iPhone. His because it is at least a better camera than mine!

Clark loves being out in the garden. When one is having a rough afternoon, heading outside helps things tremendously! He found a grub and was fascinated by it!

Hello little grub!

Week three

Yes, it is now February. A broken computer that has finally been fixed, and a weekend without a camera means the next couple of posts are late and may include an iPhone photo! We also finally bought a DLSR but now are waiting on delivery!

I chose this photo as although his hand is blurry, I love the goofy expression on his face and that I can see the "Bye-bye" on his lips.

Bye Bye!
